Tropical vibes hit the Nike Dunk Low
Nike’s iconic Dunk silhouette looks set for another strong year at the forefront of the game, as images surface of the shoe, boasting a ‘tropical’ multicoloured theme.
Created in 1985 by Peter Moore, the silhouette celebrated its 35th anniversary a couple of years back, and has been unstoppable ever since, flooding the market with an onslaught of colourways and collaborations, with the likes of Travis Scott, Grateful Dead, Hiroshi Fujiwara, and Virgil Abloh to name a few.
Dressing the upper, a white woven material covers the base, alongside tumbled leather overlays boasting a variety of colours.
Tan detailing adorns the toe box on the right pair, while bright pink accents cover the left shoe, with more mismatched detailing on the heel, eyestays, and sidewall Swoosh – closely resembling the Nike Dunk Low ‘Easter’ iteration.
Nike branding also embellishes the heel panels, with white lettering contrasting the blue tumbled leather. A palm tree graphic, with the sun in the background, and planes flying overhead adds to the final touches on the lateral rear quarter panel – the design is finished off with a white midsole underfoot, with what appears to be Nike’s sustainable recycled outsole – a nod to the brand’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
The Nike Dunk Low ‘Tropical’ doesn’t have an official release date just yet. Stay tuned for more information, and sign up to our newsletter below to be first to know when it arrives at Kick Game.
