Sacai x Nike Cortez set for 2022 Release?

Chitose Abe’s Sacai and Oregon retailer Nike look set for another steadfast collaboration, as the duo unveil the next iconic sneaker to be reworked.

Thought to be part of the classic Nike Cortez’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the shoe - created by Bill Bowerman in 1972 - was revealed alongside the Japanese fashion brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

The OG white/red colourway will undoubtedly be the most-coveted of the two iterations releasing, sporting a white leather base, with a grey suede overlays running vertically down the toebox and eyestays. Sacai doubles up with dual-Swoosh detailing on the sidewall in red and grey.

Navy blue nylon covers the upper of the second pair, coupled with dark grey suede toe box overlays, cool grey laces, and matching sidewall Swoosh.

Underfoot, sacai has equipped the sneak with its signature layered stacked midsole unit, along with Zoom Air bubbles below the forefoot to complete the design.
