Remembering Virgil Abloh

The 28th of November 2022 marked one year since the passing of Virgil Abloh, an individual who was nothing short of a mastermind visionary, creating projects that not only encapsulate an entire generation but also have the ability to transcend audiences of all age groups, as well as breaking boundaries into mainstream news and headlines. 

While many of us didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Virgil, his presence and inspiration were felt throughout the industry creating waves that seemed to spread to every corner of the culture. 

Acting as a figurehead for many, Virgil Abloh’s work and dedication to his craft reassured others that greatness takes time but is possible. From his earliest work interning in fashion houses, to launching his initial brand PYREX Vision, in addition to others including Been Trill, to creating OFF-White, Abloh’s portfolio is extensive and long-lasting, acting as a reference point to future designers and artists.

While the mastermind may not be with us in a physical sense any longer, his inspiration will remain for years to come.
