Nike Dunk Low Chinese New Year ‘Firecracker’ Lands this Month!

Images have emerged of the Nike Dunk Low Chinese New Year ‘Firecracker’ due to release later this month, with the yearly celebration taking place a month later in February.

The “Firecracker” colourway is inspired by the traditional Chinese fireworks which are set off at the stroke of midnight to scare away evil spirits, and celebrate the new year.

Explosive detailing features on the dark leather overlays around the toe box and heel, covered with firecracker illustrations, Nike lettering, and Chinese characters – while an all-over dotted pattern decorates a vibrant blue base.

Underfoot sits a bone-coloured midsole, atop a red outsole that matches the accents throughout. Finally, rounding out the design is alternating Nike branded tongue tabs on each shoe, along with the sportswear giant's Swoosh logo on the sidewall.
