Images Surface Of The Upcoming Air Jordan 37
Following the Air Jordan 36 last year, Jordan Brand is gearing up to release the next addition to the Air Jordan line with the AJ 37. While an official release date is yet to be announced, images have surfaced via performance sneaker collector @23mj88 (Instagram) of the 37th Jordan silhouette to grace the court as well as the Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum wearing the unreleased shoe.
Following on from 2021’s release, Jordan Brand is continuing to produce more performance-focused silhouettes with a Leno Weave Upper sitting atop a double-stacked foam midsole encasing Nike’s Zoom technology. In the heel, Jordan Brand have introduced Formula 23 foam, debuting earlier this year in the Jordan Luka 1, Dallas Mavericks Luka Dončić’s signature sneaker.
The overall silhouette has taken clear cues from the Air Jordan 7 with the addition of a double ankle support around the top of the shoe while the forefoot is closer to the Air Jordan 2 featuring a suede mudguard that wraps around the midsole.
Colourful hits from the outsole wrap up around the upper with additional purple and red details on the tongue, ankle support and laces to tie the colourway together.
Unlike popular early Air Jordan releases, the XXXVII features minimal Jumpman branding on the heel, outsole and tongue, a feature that may put non-basketball players off but ensures that Jordan Brand are still providing innovative footwear for the court as well as their collectable retroes.
While the images of the sneaker seen thus far are of the ‘Light Bone’ colourway (as it is currently known), earlier sketches seem to hint at a more minimal black and purple design which could be released at the same time.
The upcoming Air Jordan 37 is slated for a July release, however, at the time of writing this, we do not yet have confirmation as to whether this will be the case. For the latest on Jordan Brand, stay tuned in with Kick Game.
