A New Colourway Of The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Has Been Revealed
Before the wave of the initial Patta x Nike Air Max 1 has died, another addition to the incredibly popular pack has been revealed.
In a picture posted on Instagram by Patta co-founder Guillaume Schmidt, with the caption “You already know what this is….”, it’s uncertain as to whether this is an official release or simply a one-off pair.
If official, the colourway will become the fifth general release of the collaboration that started back in October of 2021 with arguably the most sought after ‘Monarch’ colourway, closely followed by the second ‘Noise Aqua’ released the same month.
Coming in a similar aesthetic to the third ‘Night Maroon’ colourway, the upper utilises a burnt orange colour palette across the entirety of the leather overlays and mudguard. A thick silver/grey mesh has been used on the toebox matching the mini Swoosh on the toe and writing on the tongue tag.
Additional details include a purple sock liner and a bright blue aglet at the top of the lacing system. Sitting atop an off white midsole and brown outsole, the teaser image has already got people talking. With the last image posted by Schmidt confirming the third colourway, the question arises as to exactly how many more releases are on the way from the beloved collaboration.
While the co-founder's return to the gram could be a possible hint at what’s next from Nike and Patta, it’s important to remember that images have previously surfaced of the Dutch brand’s other co-founder Edson Sabajo wearing an all-white colourway which turned out to be a friends and family exclusive.
